Beat Poetry & Poetry in Translation: Michael Amitin & Doreen Stock Thursday, July 23, 7:30 PM PT In Person at Beyond Baroque and Live on YouTube International Beat Poet Laureate (2020-2021) Michael Amitin reads from his new collection Rainy Night Paris; described as a noir-soaked chronicle of Amitin's travels; anti-authoritarian to the bone, the poems burn with jazzy riffs and folk undercurrents for misfits and night owls. Author and translator, Doreen Stock, presents La Cuenta Mundo a bilingual collection of poems originally written in Spanish by Nobel-Prize winning Chilean author Gabriela Mistral with English translations by Stock.
